L.A. County Federation of Labor Endorses Adrin Nazarian for State Assembly

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY – Adrin Nazarian, candidate for the California State 46th Assembly District, has been endorsed by the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor (Labor Federation) – the labor council which represents 800,000 workers through its 350 affiliated unions. Delegates recognized that Adrin is the best choice for working Californians and that he is dedicated to sustaining and creating good middle class jobs.

The Los Angeles County Federation of Labor does not give their endorsement lightly. As the second largest labor council in the country, the Labor Federation supports candidates that have a demonstrated commitment to improving the standard of living and working conditions of the members it represents. In Adrin Nazarian they found a candidate whose history demonstrates his dedication to the efforts of working men and women, at both the local and state level.

“Having the backing of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor is a clear message that the workers of Los Angeles believe in my experience and leadership,” said Nazarian. “The enthusiastic support and encouragement from hard-working people I admire is meaningful to me and meaningful to the voters of the 46th Assembly District.”

Adrin currently serves as Chief of Staff to L.A. City Councilmember Paul Krekorian. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley, attending high school there before receiving his degree in Economics from UCLA in 1996. He has been a CORO Fellowship in Public Affairs program participant, a board member of the East Valley YMCA and YWCA, and a founding member of the AGBU Generation Next Mentorship program.

The newly drawn 46th Assembly District includes the Los Angeles neighborhoods of North Hollywood, Toluca Lake, Studio City, Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, Valley Glen, Van Nuys, Panorama City, North Hills, Lake Balboa and the Hollywood Hills. The primary is June 5, 2012.
