Plumbers and Operating Engineers Unions Endorse Adrin Nazarian for State Assembly

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY – Two trade organizations representing thousands of Californians – United Association Plumbers Local Union 78 (UA Plumbers 78) and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 12 (IUOE 12)- endorsed Adrin Nazarian for State Assembly today, citing his proactive support of workers and the labor movement.

UA Plumbers 78 has a long history of working to protect the health and safety of Californians while preserving the well being of the men and women they represent. “It’s strong relationships with proactive public servants like Adrin Nazarian that have historically made a difference,” said Gary Cook of UA Plumber 78. “California’s workers deserve ethical representatives like Adrin Nazarian who stand up for them and embrace job creation.”

IUOE 12 is a highly skilled and diverse group that takes pride in keeping California up and running. “We are proud to support Adrin Nazarian because, at the end of the day, he understands the plight of working men and women,” said Bill Waggoner, Business Manager and 1st Vice President of Operating Engineers Local 12.  “Adrin understands the importance of growing the middle class as California’s economy battles towards recovery.”

“The plumbers and operating engineers are at the forefront of California’s job force,” Nazarian said. “I am honored to have their support and, if I am fortunate enough to be elected, will work closely with both organizations to ensure that working men and women have a voice in Sacramento.”

Adrin currently serves as chief-of-staff to L.A. City Councilmember Paul Krekorian. He grew up in the San Fernando Valley, attending high school there before receiving his degree in Economics from UCLA in 1996.
